Hacking Why does it take days for a 2gb cia to install?

I've canceled it several times. Cause when I try to install hyrule warriors it gets up to 40% and then takes about 5 minutes to advance 1%. I got a 64gb class 10 SD card with 12gb of space left

Sounds like something is wrong with yours also if it takes 40-50h to install. "h" i am assuming means hours.

I had that problem too on my New 3DS. It used to be fast to install, then became slow. I noticed it happened after I formatted it again with Windows while it used to be formatted using the Gateway Launcher (when creating an emuNAND). So I formatted it again with the Gateway Launcher (creating an emuNAND, and this took time too) and it became fast again (and after that, creating an emuNAND too became faster -.-).

I guess there is a right way to format the SD card, used by Gateway (and probably other things) but not Windows.

I have the same problem.
New 3DS XL and O3DS Xl.
MicroSD sandisk ultra micro sdxc 48mb/s
Copying file into it takes 11/mbs sometime 15/mbs or more.

but FBI take long time to install .cia ( tried donkey kong, pokemon etc ) heavy files.

I thought was normal.

There is a fast way?

This resolve all my issues with sd cards, I use to be in the same boat as you. Hope it helps.

Using devmenu the cia flew to 90% but is dragging. Least it's faster then FBI lol

sorry if this was already said. use big blue menu or dev menu to install. fbi is pure garbage for installing large files.

Why it takes so long? Because you're reading and writing onto the same sdcard. It is a shame 3DS has no USB connectivity.

Weird, i use FBI to install big files and it works just fine
Maybe your 3DS is just bad? Or mine's better in some way?

I did it using the wifi file transfer and on a Class 10 card, it took around 1 1/2 hours...which I wasn't going to complain about considering it was a big game and done over wifi....I just hate having to take the back off my New 3DS and track down my SD card adapter every time I want to install a game

The slow part is due to it needing to encrypt the data on to the same SD card.

Why take off the back of your console? For small files use MicroSD app, for large files, use FBI's socketpunch.
