Genuinely curious. It has awful rep and I never understood why.
WTF I like cummyounizm WTF?
It looks like you're saying that you like cum.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
So you're genuine but you posted it in the EOF?
If you look into the Cold War you might get something of an answer.
Communism is the complete opposite of the US' ideal: you work and get paid equal to the amount that you worked. In communism, it doesn't (rather, shouldn't) matter who you are and how hard you work, you will get the same as everyone else.
Because of the Cold War with spies and the nuclear arms race and stuff people in the US ramped up the 'Red Threat' to a kind of hysteria about what communism was. It was a poison, something that had to be weeded out. Senator McCarthy's witch hunt in the 50s solidified the image of Communism being evil in the public's mind.
That was the most serious EoF post I have ever seen in my life *manly_tear.exe*
Americans (and a lot of western Europe these days) have been brainwashed into thinking Communism = Dictatorship.
My dad keeps talking how good rusha was back then... But in the days of camyounism you had to go to school on saturdays so...
Communism would actually be fantastic, if it weren't for the fact that a communist government in it's current state still has a definite leader and is mixed in with other elements. That goes against the balance of pure communism therefore making communism in modern times look bad.
Ah, this happens with lots of other things, too.
Communism isn't inherently evil, but the fact that we are in fact human, and are not infallible to money and power, pretty much confirms that we will never have a pure, fair communist government.
this site is pretty communist actually. we share infos for free. there is nothing wrong with communism except for getting subjected to it against your will.
Nothing wrong with the idea, but without incorruptible robot overlords, it's not gonna be anything more than an idea.
Says the guy from a country where you pay taxes and have social programs.
I'm being forced to wear pants against my will, does that make our social structure immoral?
I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who wants to see my junk in public. (I'm spoken for, BTW)
yes... it does
and to answer the question (even though this is EOF where I could say nonsensical shit) Communism does work IN THEORY. In doesn't take into account how emotions and other factors can affect the individuals within said community. I remember when we were having a debate in school whether Fascism works or not and the "For" team put forward that fascism would work if it didn't have evil dictators running the society
43. Do that, and no other shall say nay.
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
