autorcm boots you instantly into RCM

but I could just leave my switch in sleep mode, press R + A on album, and I am in.
Literally takes 2 seconds.
If my switch is always on sleep, I am always in CFW

I might be wrong about my understanding though

There are times when you're going to have to power off your system, like if you need to remove the SD card or update your CFW. In these cases, AutoRCM makes getting back into RCM convenient. In addition, if you want to preserve your fuses so you can downgrade in the future, AutoRCM keeps your fuses from being burnt.

You are right though that if you boot into CFW one time, you can just keep your Switch in sleep mode when you're not using it, and you will stay in CFW.

Multiple reasons, 1 people exist that switch between emunand and stock nand for online play. Every time you want to play online you need to reboot. 2. The best forms/performance for emulators run in linux L4T Ubuntu and Lakka. They are also the only way to play Gamecube Wii and PS2 games on your switch. Only ubuntu features sleep mode(s2idle) and it is nowhere near as efficient as horizon. These are just a couple btw, more uses exist, but these are pretty comon.

How long did I leave my Switch sleeping? One week. Uhm no, it was sleeping since I started Pokemon Go which is about 3 weeks. It did not charge on the docking station. The only way I got it to charge was to cable it into my plugged in laptop, rcm the switch and leave it overnight. After 10 hours I had 4% battery which was enough for Kosmos to boot it up and now my switch is docked and charging.

A half year ago I was scrounging discords for advice - in the wee hours of the morning - and I ran across someone whose switch would boot into rcm and die - over and over. It was due to this that I left my switch cabled overnight. I thank everyone who contributed to Kosmos for their forethought.

If you're using Atmosphere, the system will reboot back into CFW when there's a crash.
That wasn't always the case though.
But cfw also was much less stable in the past too.

And apparently it's fine to remove sd in rcm/hekate, or so I was told.
with usb install and all the advances, you're not going to have to power off very much anymore. But whenever you do, it's gonna be easier with rcm

in hekate 5.0 while sitting at the main menu you can eject the sd card and it reloads when you pop back in. all without power off

But Ubuntu, lakka and android can't reboot to payload yet so autorcm is needed

I don't know why you're you're responding to a post of mine from one month ago to tell me that the information in that post would have been inaccurate if it had been posted approximately six months ago. It's not helpful.

I know that any thematic community can be very toxic to new people and will joke about them for any reason.
But I am like that too, and I can joke too.

Only I am from another field of activity, in which you do not understand absolutely anything, and there they will laugh at you if you come there for the first time.

No offense, this is just a response to your jokes :)

Help me get past the rules, or else I blackmail the PS community, is what you are saying? Well no getting past the rules here. If you want to post links, you must have a certain number of posts first, it prevents spammers.

I don't want to bypass your rules on purpose.
But I don't have the time or desire to make 5 posts on a forum unknown to me just to publish a link to an open source project.
If you don't need it, just say so.
I don't need any bypassing of the rules, and I especially don't need jokes at my expense.
I'll even delete my topic entirely if yo
    u're not interested.

@lapot2, not so much trolls as just a little over a half dozen chumps who hang out in here regularly and chitchat about various things. Usually not even gaming lol. Hence it'd probably be better to just get a few posts and interact with the community a little bit so you can share the link directly :)

@DinohScene , I created a topic a long time ago, but I couldn't attach links to it to GitHub with materials for self-assembly of the device and a short review.
that's why I wrote to this chat later :D
  • DinohScene @ DinohScene:
report the thread you made and write down what links you'd want me to attach to the OP as the report reason, I'll take care of it immediately ;)

The open version, although it does not have many conveniences, but even without them it will be more convenient to work than with any other tools like ch341 and ezp2023.
Well, the full version is still impossible to get in Europe, so this is not even an advertisement for a paid device)
