Donald Trump comes in office when the US economy was doing better than most other countries (but, admitted: could've been better). In little over a month, things go pretty south, especially compared to campaign promisses.
Unlike most economic crises, this one has roots directly in the current president's actions (tariffs, trade war, mass firings, mixed messaging,...). Whether you agree or not can be discussed in said other thread. Here, I want to check a poll on the WHY of it all.
My view isn't exactly neutral, but I'll respond after a while as to keep this OP somewhat objective. What I'm interested in is your idea on what the US should do. Continue restricting your markets? Lay off everyone but Trump himself from the government? End this tariff war? Annex Canada?
