Hardware Why do I get a slightly grainy picture over HDMI?

I have a PS3 Slim (CECH-2001A I think) and I’ve noticed there is a barely visible grainy pattern when I look closely at the darker colours on my screen. Has anyone else noticed this, or do you think it’s to do with HDMI signal interference or something? It’s starting to annoy me a bit. Here’s my setup:

PS3>HDMI cable>HDMI switch>hdmi cable>HDMI monitor

I haven’t noticed this with my other consoles. I have my PS3 set to 1080p resolution.

Your switch could be introducing the noise, I would start there by bypassing it.

I tried setting RGB to full and plugging it directly in to my monitor but nothing changed.

Perhaps get a three inputs one output hdmi splitter, your splitter might be causing the problem if the same issue on another unit.

Ditch the switch, and hook up directly. That should fix it.

I tried, and it was the same. Also I need the HDMI switch.
