ROM Hack Why can't games like SSB4 be firmware fixed for 4.x yet?

We can decrypt SSB4.

This has nothing to do with the ability to make them playable on 4.x.

The game's code relies on 3DS System functions introduced in later firmwares.

i know 1 of the ssb updates adds the amiibo settings which will cause the game to crash when selected if you haven't updated to 9.3+

Not true. I'm on 9.0 and I added the 1.0.7 update which adds amiibo and mewtwo support. It works perfectly.

Hmm... interesting... I'm just wanting some of the 4.x CFW features like screenshot and cheat support for higher firmwares, that would put the icing on the cake
