Has anybody noticed the absolute abundance of rupees in Zelda: Phantom Hourglass?

Usually Zelda games keep you on a steady increase in rupees throughout the game, increasing your wallet size and increasing the price of things you need. In this game it seems they finished working on it, and someone decided, "Hey, let's go bury a dozen big-green, hundred-point rupees around the place.. Oh, and almost every thing you destroy will give a rupee."

I'm on the third temple and have about 1900 rupees. What do I do with all this cartoonistic wealth!?

I like how you don't have to worry about a wallet in this zelda. Lots of expensive ship parts to buy, go spend your money on that [IMG]

You know, with all of these rupees, you'd think the economy would rally suffer... but it doesn't >_>

The little spirit-drop things -- the ones you can buy at the shops -- are 500 a piece. That right there will set you back. So, there's plenty to spend the loot on. Plus this game gives you tons of options for upgrading your ship, extending your bomb capacity, etc.

they basically was more realistic in some aspects this time around, cause to my understanding, an actual rupee aint worth that much, lol.

also, u can look at it as they have jacked up the price for everything. a potion will set u back 150..whereas the potions in previous games, i believe would be at MOST 60..dont remember too well.

This is the most user friendly Zelda game I have played, I'm not shocked.

The answer is simple.....that's because there's no Tingle in the game [IMG]

Hehe. Great responses Retal, Lawzer and Ktaro. They made me smile.

I like the abundance of wealth in this game. The expensive items DO counter it although so far I'm not liking any of the ship parts. The original ones look so much better. [IMG]

    same for me.

And i don't know if it's common knowledge, but those seacreatures that you can keep shooting as long as they stay in the air, they are rupee farms!!!

i earnt 1500 rupees keeping them in the air (they split) for about 20 minutes play

I quite like the fluctuation in rupees this time. Keeps in line with CPI and also allows me to buy items. Remember you can save more rupees by shouting louder for the crane arm. I saved 700 second time!

How much is the crane normally? I was in my dorm room so I couldn't exactly scream real loud and ended up having to pay 300 rupees.
