In the US they have some kind of official store where you can get the games a day before they actually release (which is on monday). A lot of US DS games are released on monday, and WiiWare gets updated every monday as well. In Europe, games release on friday and WiiWare is updated on friday as well.,

I don't know if it's true or not but Square Enix doesn't release Dragon Quest games on weekdays in Japan because they don't want people cutting school to buy it.

I'd say "that's stupid", but when CoD:MW2 was released, half of my Psychology class didn't show up that day. Haha.

Hippies whine and moan about videogames if given any chance, and I do mean ANY chance. So it's probably a precaution.
Not like will just NOT buy a game because it's released on a specific date.

Dragon Quest is pretty hot shit in Japan.
It's more popular than Final Fantasy.
