I found a member that joined on XX september 2008 and he has already got over 1700 posts.

From what I've seen from his posts he doesn't spam at all. Sure he posts a lot, but he also contributes to Gbatemp as a community. You're reasoning seems to be that if you post a lot in little time you're a spammer, but that couldn't be further from the truth. It's when you're posting just to post you're a spammer, not when you post a lot because you enjoy sharing your thoughts with other people.

I also don't think that this is an appropriate topic, seeing as these kind of topics never lead to anything good.

Spam is lots of useless posts and bonemonkey easily gets that award.
