I used to love LEGO, and after reading William Gibson's latest novel, I have an urge to buy some again ... though for probably a different purpose than I would have used them as a child.

    Legos are awesome.
I don't think any childhood is complete without a big box of Legos.

I loved trying to imitate whatever they did on the box cover.

There's also this other kind which uses magnets. I think it was called K'nex. That rocked too [IMG]

Nah, K'nex isn't the magnetic one ... K'nex is the ones with the long thin stick-like pieces, and the wheel lookin' thing that they click into ... there are a few magnetic ones, though.

I used to do that too.
Also got catalogs in the mail, even though I never ordered from them. I would also try to build the stuff in them using whatever I already had.
By the time I sold them, I had two large cardboard boxes full of just LEGOs. No original boxes or manuals, just the LEGOs.
Only reason I lost interest in them was because I got a job early on and was finally able to buy myself video games.

I loved Legos. It was all the fun of playing with a toy rocket ship, or air plane, or car, or boat, or UFO that you got to build on your own! The local mall has a Lego Store where you can buy a small can to put the Legos you want into. They mainly have red though..

@above: I LOVED LEGOLAND FOR THE PC, and I ALSO LOVED ROCK RAIDERS (still do, even still am afraid of the levels with a limited amount of oxygen)

LEGO Land is a themepark, and a series of titles on the PC.

So what exactly is the point of this thread? Anything to do with NDS games at all?

That aside, yes I like Lego, though I was never really good at it when I was younger and now... I don't suck as much [IMG]

Don't think so. Unless there's a new Lego game for DS.

I never liked lego, really. By the way, what is the plural of Lego? Lego or Legos? I think it's just Lego, personally. Discuss?

Since the people over at Lego prefer people to call them "Lego bricks" or "Lego toys", I guess Lego bricks.

@thebobevil: SERIES?! Please say you're serious and that there's more than 1.

LEGO means 'play well', though I forget in which language.
