I can't get it to work perferctly or any good on gbsp, but many people tell me its perfectly playable...the first one at least.

Can anyone recommend me what version, and what settings should be used to play the game.

I experience slowdowns during battle, and the game almost freezes on the worldmap...So I play it on the DS instead.

I havent played it on the PSP but are you enabling frame-skipping because I have heard that it helps with some games.

I played both on gbSP v3.3 and experienced 2 freezes and minor slowdowns when in battle (when attack is going to hit to be specific). However, I'm using a Phat so I only have half the RAM to work with (since gbSP use the full 32/64 MBs).
