I was just looking at maplins and thier prices are out-reageous for memory cards. I just had a look a 4gb micro sd on thier site and its £50!!! When you can buy a 4gb microsd SDHC for £12.99 online. How do these major retailers get away with charging such prices.

Only once, because I want it instantly. I bought a 2GB Sandisk for £7 in Currys. Pretty cheap.

Who? Average consumers who don't trust online retailers.

Fix'd.
Seriously, all of my less-informed friends think the entire internet is out to steal their identity.

I dont. They are always expensive.

Many people dont know how to properly use the internet and its assets. They either think that there is little to the internet outside of porn, hackers and identity theft and the occasional email or two.

Or worse, those who think the internet is for "Networking" with sites like Myspace ONLY

They'll eventually get around to making sites on servers that are exclusive to "elitist" and what not, I cant wait. I really cant wait for that, because nothing makes me desire to claw someones eyes out quicker than listening to incessant and constant "chat speak" being SPOKEN in conversation.

If people weren't under the delusion that this were cool and acceptable on the internet--the biggest "hang out" in the world--then they wouldn't do it. Some of us need a place, a network within the network, that is safe from people who choose to remain "noobs" all their virtual life.

I don't. I've seen 256 MB MicroSD's in The Source (The Canadian equivalent to Radio Shack-Circuit City bought all of the Canadian Radio Shacks) for $60. I took it up to the front, looked at the guy, and just said "Holy Shit" and walked away.
