well, exluding Team Twiizer, Waninkoko, WiiPower (because u already mentioned them), here are some of my favourite developers (in no particular order).

I talk to a lot of these devs on a regular basis and consider them friends (or at least as close to being friends as 2 people who have never met can be, lol)

I've put in brackets what they are most known for (off the top of my head, I may be missing apps, but w/e).

-Leathl (show mii wads, customize mii, transmit mii, wad manager multi-mod)
-oggzee, usptactical and gannon (configurable usb loader)
-fig2k4 (wii backup manager)
-Crediar, Daco, phpgeek (preloader/priiloader)
-giantpune (usb loader gx and dop-ios mod)
-wiicrazy (crazy intro, crazy intro video, CRAP)
-da_letter_a (cioscorp and 8-in-1 priiloader hacks)
-nicksasa (blue dump)
-Yossi (categorii)
-cwstjdenobs (bootmii switch, plus a secret new awesome project!)
-WiiGator (cMIOS)
-WB3000 (nus downloader)

thanks to all of u guys!

Team Twizzers for everything. Waninkoko for pirating lulz... Wiipower for his great app "Neogamma". Phantomwings(dunno if he counts) for his great codes like, music/texture hack for brawl and also...damn... forgot his name. I'm talking about the dude that made Backup Launcher 0.3 gamma and also the *GC Backup launcher*... Didn't hear of him for a while.

Some of my favorites:
Requiem4d: 100% open source fan, sadly not active for years now, may has left the scene forevry
WiiGator: legendary when it comes to GC, not active for months now, may also has left the scene forever
Dack: creator of WiiScrubber, could you imagine the scene without WiiScrubber?

Oh and if anybody is a fan of me, he has to be fan of nicksasa too. He helped me a lot with various stuff for for example SoftChip and NeoGamma. He also initiated fstoolbox, TriiForce and BlueDump.(i hope this does not sound like i claim to be the leading coder in one of these, i am not)

My favorite developer is lazy, but he's a genius. With Nicksasa, he developed some good applications like TriiForce which is a safe alternative to play VC/WiiWare games. The quality of his stuff is great and bug-free most of the time. I don't like to hack my Wii just for fun. I want to understand exactly why I'm doing certain things and how it can affect the Wii. WiiPower has always an answer and helped a lot of people with his knowledge. If Waninkoko has really left the scene, his cIOS source code must be given to WiiPower. I really trust him and I'm pretty sure he'll make a nice job if he want to contribute, of course.

Basicly, i should'nt have to explain why, but for newcomers, i'll do it. These guys are the core devellopers of wii64 & wiiSX. Their work is amazing, i mean, making 2 full emulators, of THAT quality, porting the plugins and making dynarec cores, it's really stunning.

Moreover, the emulation quality (for N64) is good as the VirtualConsole, made by Big N itself, with their devkit and their own console spec.

Eventually, i respect the team twiizer too, for their unbelievable job on reverse engineering... But just for THAT (they are sometimes a little too much involved into pathetic drama).

I haven't heard from any drama from bushing yet. When thinking about Marcan you may be right, but TT has more than 1 member.

wplaat definitely deserves some recognition.

Great games releases like Tower Defense, RedSquare, Space Bubble, pong 2

Leathl seems to be bringing out some good stuff too.

Thanking a person would be disrespectful. MANY people have contributed, from Team Twizzers to Wiipower.

I meant wii64 emulation on some titles is good as what nintendo did on virtual console with their own devkit.

Just that you know, the english "eventually" means "the sooner or later".

Damn...how am I going to choose? Most projects I'm gratefull about is the result of co-operation between multiple programmers. And that a lot of stuff is based upon knowledge others have gathered and shared with the rest. Asking about my favorite developer is like asking me to choose a favorite brick from my house: apart, they're only bricks. But combined, they make something I came to love.

Come to think of it: this question is harder to answer, 'cause I'm not familiar with how the efforts of this community turned it into what it is.

The team twiizers guys would most likely be on the top of that list. The twilight hack, bannerbomb, the homebrew channel and bootmii pretty much serve(d) as a foundation for the community to build upon.
This isn't to say that the efforts of waninkoko, or Hermes's cIOS'es, are worth anythin less worthwhile (on the contrary: their successes paved the way for others).

And...

Ah, well. You get the point: everyone who's giving their best effort gets a thumb up for me, whether that someone is an advanced programmer or a mere basic tester.

You all have my respect.
