My Wii connected to my 19" HDTV thru component connection

    OR

My Wii connected to my 19" HDTV thru VGA connection

I'm considering getting a Wii to VGA cable but I'm wondering if it's worth it...

Who cares? Wii isn't really a graphics based system so go with whatever is cheaper, it's not like you'll be missing out on much

Yeah, but in general going from normal Red,White,Yellow RCA cables to component makes quite a noticeable difference. 480P (although not as nice as 720P or 1080P) is certainly better than 480i. If you can't see the benefit, you haven't seen both to compare. Sorry.

Anyway, to the original poster, buy the component cables because they really add a lot to the resolution and colors. You won't regret it!

Actually I have component cables and they do look a lot better than the cables the Wii comes packaged with.
Just for some reason I thought he meant HDMI connection [IMG]

I already have component cables (..albeit these cheap Gamestop ones) I should have been more specific thou. I was really wondering about the two types and how they handle HDTV jaggies.

How does the converter make a difference exactly? Do the colours look better? Also do you notice any lag due to the converter being an additional step to the output chain?
