I was just curious because I mainly face away from the shower head because I rather have water stream on my back than my face, but it makes more sense to face the shower when I visualize it.

    My shower is flexible.
I take it in my hand and move it on me, I'm not turning around.

You people must be short. I have to duck to get water on my head in the shower.

I step back far enough for the water not to hit my head, except when washing my hair, in which case I bend forward. The orientation depends on the current action.
This is all in case I do it at all, of course.

My shower is flexible too so I can rinse the narrow crevices of my body. Mainly, I face the showerhead then turn around when I need to rinse the back of my whole body.

I have an adjustable shower stand.
I dislike facing the water though.

I switch depending on which "showering stage" I am at.

anyone who votes otherwise makes me feel threatened and uncomfortable.

    this is an odd poll..

i would think people switch back and forth if they wash their hair at all
unless they take off the shower head and use it like that
whoa. thats not very comfortable then...
cuz its like raining on you..
doesnt the water just dribble all over your face?

I crouch and poop in the shower. srsly.

I actually switch and spin and jump and dance and sing, and since mah shower is like one of those you can detach, I take it and use it as a microphone.

start facing away for the shower head, and after a while i get relaxed and switch over to wash my face and hair. then finish with back to the water again.
