Gaming Which starter in Pokemon Platinum did you choose?

I usually pick the grass or water type pokemon starters. Bulbasaur/Squirtle ftw!
I really liked charmander back in the day though..
Regardless, I picked Chimchar. My Pearl file I picked Turtwig, on my friend's diamond I played with Piplup. Wanted to try something new

I picked chimchar because I wanted to try something new since I had used turtwig in both diamond and emerald.

Turtwig, used Chimchar in Diamond, and there's to many water types already, easily enough to catch.

Chimachar, used piplup in diamond and wanted a change even though Empleon is the only one of the final starter evolutions that looks half decent, but for some reason I always end up using my bird pokemon most, like pidgey and taillow and now starly, staraptor is like 7 levels higher than all my other pokemon lawl.

Charmander. I hate all the starters after 2nd Gen, sooo, I gave myself a Charmander instead of using these lame starters.

I took Turtwig too, I chose Piplup in diamond.

Water Steel > Fire+Fighting and Grass + ground.

Fire is normal against Piplups forms as is grass. Ground is strong, but Turtwig's forms have slow speed leaving plenty of time for a flying or an ice/water move. As for Chimchar's forms, ITS FIRE. Gets dominated.

Piplup is also cute.

The only non fire type evolution of a starter i liked is the steel water, was it empoleon? he looked cool in my eyes

Let's se... I picked Turtwig in my first American Pearl playthrough. Then I picked Piplup in my Spanish Diamond playthrough. I haven't started Platinum yet, but I guess I'll pick the Torchic clone, Chimchar. It doesn't matter, anyway, because I'm breeding-hatching-EV-training my future 6-member team in Diamond. I'll breed the pokémons I want, trade them to Pt and hatch them there. Then I'll trade them back to Diamond, EV train them there, and send them back to Pt.
