Hacking Which R4 Shell do you prefer..

Some people on this forum love the new R4 Shell, the one w/o the spring. Some think it's pretty ugly, and prefer their old ones with the spring. Which one do you like better?

I'm gonna vote the Old One, since..well, I'm gonna own it in about 7 days. Well, pretty sure I am.
Anyway it's kinda safer for me I guess, but I do think it looks worse than the older one. I don't like no rib cage :[

I have a great detest for the spring that can be described as large. That's why I removed mine from the old one. Some people like the spring for conviency, I don't.

To be honest looks shouldn't matter, the only thing that really matters is functionality. The newer shell doesn't brake as it hasn't got a spring, which is the only thing wrong with the original.

For the sake of facts, I have an original.

I don't care either way, as long as it works. I just ordered my second R4, and I hope to get a white shell. The spring, again, doesn't matter as long as the card works fine.

My first R4 is the old model, with the spring, and it's worked flawlessly since I've had it.

That said, if I had a choice between the old shell and new, spring or no spring it would look like this.

About one minute. I can wrangle Excel in my sleep. The hard part was doing the screen capture and throwing the image out to imagebucket so you grognards could see it!

I haven't seen anything other than pics of the new shell. I don't even personally know anyone other than myself who owns a flash cart. Based on that, and the fact that I have a true second gen (language jumper intact) R4, I'll vote old.

New one... If everyone had it, I think they'd all vote for the new one.

The spring is easy as cake to pull out. On the older one, it wasn't too much of a problem. The MicroSD slot was a bit small for my fingers.

I haven't had any problems with the spring on my old one. As long as it keeps working, I'll say I prefer it, because it means I don't have to pull the R4 out of my DS to swap the contents of my microSD card.
