Being a Pokemon fan doesn't mean you'll buy EVERYTHING Gamefreak shits out just because it's pokemon.
We're not the target audience of the game so we don't have to buy a game that's not going to appeal to what we want in a core game.
The games are targetting the GO audience but I think they're thinking TOO LOW of them with the ammount of hand holding they're having (really? you aren't allowed to fight Brock UNLESS you have a pokemon checking his weakness? Back when I first played Red for the first time when it was released I didn't need hand holding), I don't think the GO audience is that stupid.

I'm seeing the future with a lot of people super mad at the game because they bought it KNOWING it wasn't going to be what they wanted.

Jolteon > Pikachu

afaik you cant evolve eevee or pikachu so no jolteon or anything really.

and pikachu being electric at least can take down flying and water pokemons, eevee is normal so no SE moves, weak to fighting and well its immune to ghost but gen 1 only has a single ghost pokemon lol so yeah pikachu is much more useful than eevee for the campaign really.

I made a deal with my daughter. We will buy both and she gets to pick which one she wants. She has picked Pikachu, so that means I’ll get Eevee. I didn’t mind which one I get, but I think it makes sense for us to get different ones.
