Eevee is the other version because it is the new Pokemon mascot together with Pikachu.

I assumed the reason Eevee was given to us was for all of us poor kids growing up and got Eevee taken from us by Gary Oak(Blue.. etc whatever you call him) that decided last minute he wanted it. That made me really envious of him back then. Im glad that kids in this day in age dont have to go through that.

The only character who's name is yellow is the little blonde girl in the yellow manga. I dont even think yellow is even a name option in the game, but I could be wrong.

What kind of person names him yellow though? I know growing up I have named him Ash(because of the anime) nowadays he’s always Red to me. Its only makes sense that he’s Red. I always chose give the player a new name option and name it manually so maybe thats how it missed it.

in blue, second option is gary
as for jack and john, idr the version for each of them
From what I've heard. in the anime, 3 trainers from Pallet Town left on their journey
Gary got Squirtle, Ash got Pikachu
as for Charmender and Bulbuzar, they were taken by two other unknown trainer
from what I've heard, their name were John and Jack

I heard that too actually. I always found it funny that we never saw them and they were never mentioned again. They swept those boys under the mat and hoped we would forget, but alas we never forgot about them.
