The only reason you would ever buy a Simply over a R4 is if the Simply was cheaper. And because I have yet to see any Simply as cheap as I’ve seen the R4 I have no idea why anyone would ever buy an M3-Simply.

M3 has a prettier sticker, a nicer website, and better support from what I gather. R4 updates are released first and it has a larger user base.

I got the M3 'cause the R4's were all sold out. Given the choice, I probably would have gotten whichever one my mouse clicked on first.

iwakura: I've read different accounts that the m3 was released first, and the R4 was released first, so I'm still none the wiser.

Quite sure R4 was. R4 was released near the start of December in China IIRC (it started international shipping midway)

Get an R4 because the forums are very active and you'll get help fast, but most of 'em ahev been answered so searching would help a lot. Faster updates, and it's got a nice skinning site devoted to it: http://www.ndsthemes.com

I have both R4 and M3S, and I have to say the spring loader in M3S is better in my case. R4 spring loader sucks.

mag2005: Ooh, that's a good point. So many people have complained of the spring loader breaking on the R4's, but I've yet to hear of it happening on someone's M3... Though, now that I've said that, I'm sure someone will say it's happened to them

Regardless, it hasn't been reported nearly as much.

alright it's between the r4ds or CycloDS i'm really leaning towards the r4ds becuase its 15dollars less than the cyclods

I thought the R4 was only $10 cheaper...

And with the cyclo you're dealing with 100% download play compatibility, great support, higher SD card capacity, a staff who speaks english primarily...

It's worth the little extra money, IMO.

alright i'm about to order a CycloDS but what i need to know is a 1gig enough, or should i go for 2...also ordering form REalhottstuff was waiting for them to get the Cyclods and they just came in Sunday... if anybody is intrested in getting one

R4 are cheaper to buy and have more frequent firmware updates.

It really doesn't matter, they were made in the same factory.

Though I do favor the R4
