I read somewhere that they have different chipsets, but I'm not completely sure about that.

DSTWO. Because if I'm not wrong(I don't think I'm wrong), DSTWO have iPlayer plugin.

The iSmart MM is a iPlayer hardware based flashcart with the dstwo OS.
The iSMM is able to use the ndspatch.dat from the dstwo so it has the same game compatibility than the dstwo.

The CPU is a MIPS also, running at 336MHz where the dstwo run at 360 Mhz.

Dstwo plugins that use the CPU are not compatible with iSMM, for now.

The iSMM got a better battery life than the dstwo. That's for now the only good reason to get an iSMM instead of the dstwo.

I say DStwo because it's CPU is clocked higher than the other two.

DStwo, why settle for anything less than the original?
iSmartMM doesn't appear to surpass it in any way, except marginally less battery consumption, but we are probably talking 10 minutes.

No reason to get an iPlayer since it does not support commercial roms.

We are talking about at least half an hour and above depending on brightness IIRC.

    Away from you.
iPlayer has no commercial DS ROM support.

DS2 > iSMM because the CPUs of the DS2 are 360MHz and I think there's a second one at 400MHz (there was one on the iPlayer as well) so yeah, iSMM only as 336MHz.

iSMM is a pitiful attempt at cloning the DS2 and yes I know it's an OEM purchase of the iPlayer

IIRC a DSi on 1 brightness can get 14 hours battery life, chop off a few hours with the DS2 CPU, that's still 11-12 hours.
