whatWhy would this be a surprise at all? Better gaming means better graphics. higher res. more detail. More Data used. There are games that top 3gb and some that nearly cap out the FAT32 format nearly 4gb.
I would believe it, but remaking the entire game in Unity is in any case orders of magnitude more difficult than fixing whatever problems that Wolf3D engine has. (I imagine there's also some version of Wolf3D in the form of a Doom WAD that is probably playable in one of the Doom ports.)Have you played that version? The audio is awful, controls aren't great, and you have to modify the naming structure of the game or trying to use the Rosalina menu will force you back to the home screen. I appreciate the effort because it is the best standalone version we have, but it just isn't good.
This, so much this. All this talk is absolutely nuts. You said Baldi was already decompiled by someone else. Maybe you could start with it and see if you can do the actual porting before having to decompile anything.

It's like I said before: there are thousands of thoroughly experienced Unity developers out there at this point and even if porting some other Unity game to the 3DS was only very difficult, there would already be enormous numbers of terrible Unity ports out there. The fact that such ports are practically nonexistent should suggest that it is practically impossible to do so.
Was Baldi's Basics even actually decompiled? Because it seems to me much more likely that they just remade it from scratch and decided to call it "decompiled" for some confusing reason.
Being illegal to share isn't much of a detriminent to the distribution of many binaries out there, I'd say.it's illegal to share the compiled binaries.
Recently i was going back to the 3DS to play some games. But then a thought came into my mind: "I can use Unity to make 3DS games, what if i port one of them?"
So i wanted to ask, what game would you most likely want to be ported to the 3DS? And yes i know it's 2020, but i wanted to see if anybody wan'ts to see a game on this device.
Keep in mind that if you want to reply and select a game, please add a game that the 3DS can handle. I'm using Unity 5.6 i believe.
Best regards and stay safe,
"hat"
The fact that such ports are practically nonexistent may have to do with the fact that it's illegal to share the compiled binaries.
You either have to get the required software from illegal sources, or you have to break the TOS you agreed with when you signed up for a nintendo developer account.
That said, this feels like a slap in the face to actual developers who have been working for years now to have a free-to-use and open source SDK for 3DS homebrew.
I know GBAchan is pro-piracy these days, but the sudden interest in using Unity for homebrew is the wrong way forward.
In my humble opinion.
I third this.Oh, yeah, I second this.
I mean I already have it on my Switch Lite but-
