I think this is interesting, because this here Other discussions forum and the News forum are the only two where the whole community meets together.

    I frequent:
    User Submitted News
Site discussions & suggestions (GBAtemp.net Discussions only)
NDS (focus on the supercard subforum)
    PSP
PS3 (games & content subforum only)
Mobile Phones & Media Players (focus on the android subforum)

About the only section I access directly is 'NDS - Emulation and Homebrew'. Other than that, I just check out the latest posts from the front page.

    Psssh.

I'm usually found perusing everything filed under "Other Discussions", though I do browse the user-submitted news and the GBA ROM sub-forums. When I get my DSi/AK2i to work again, I'll get back to all the DS stuff.

Heh, I frequent "view new posts" which encompasses all the sub-forums. Many times, I'm not paying attention to what sub-forum I'm even in.....if a topic is interesting enough for me to post in, I do so. In that respect, I have no particular favorite sub-forum. It's just whichever way the wind blows.

I usually opt for Rayder's approach which seems to be shared by many but every so often I will check DS rom hacking, 360 hacking, PS3 hacking and PSP hacking to make sure I have not missed something good with even rarer wanderings into some of the other sections or maybe a trip into a given section should I need to find something I recall being in that section. This is not to say I do not care for the posts in the other sections (make a nice video editing discussion and I will aim to be there for example).
I have however caught myself on several occasions only browsing the topic titles on the search results and ignoring sections and maybe poster.

Thing to take away from all this- should your post have a good title and subheading you will maybe not more people in it but it will be more likely to attract the attention of the people that you want to read it.

Going more in depth a title along the lines of "problem" will be skipped over save for one of the "doing the rounds" periods but "problem doing ? using ?" or "help getting a setup for ?" and a subheading to compliment it or "new/best tool/game" vs "new/best tool/game for ? using ?" and again a subheading to match will do wonders especially if you are in one of the less active or more technically inclined sections.
Also if you are in one of the more technically inclined sections and such a section has a few more active sub areas (as they pretty much all do) a clue that it might fall into one section or another is nice to have too- say in DS hacking I can pull apart a complex format readily enough but I doubt I could even recall a rough layout of your chosen (but popular) GUI sporting pokemon hacking tool and such a distinction is not an uncommon one.
Likewise I like it when some clue as to something of the specifics of the content- "building a computer for ? amount of currency" is far nicer to see than "building a computer" even if you include budget limits in the thread and it is no great mindset change between the threads.

Blogs, 3DS (lesser now), User Submits, Mobiles, General Consoles and EoF when I'm bored

I go to the 3DS section lesser now cuz a lot of threads were made into pure fanboyism or conflicts between Sony, Neutrals and Ninty fanboys.

Instead, I'm now more interested in blogging, reviewing and mobile phones/laptops.

User submits if anything new, but if there's fanboy conflict I'll leave straightaway

Can't really stand most of the other sections these days.
