Hacking Which DVD-R media brand should I use?

i use verbatim

I use Kodak's. They seem to work quite well for me. Memorex however won't even load on my Wii.

The speed directly depends on you burner. In fact you have to recheck any new batch of media you buy even if it's allways the same manufacturer and type!

As far as image burning speed goes, how do I know which speed to burn my isos at?

I've burned my wii games at x16 and have yet to get a read error.

personally, i do 4x-6x using ritek g05s and mr data. these ones are significantly cheaper than ur verbatim

Same shit as Gamecube and PS2

. RITEK G05. They are cheap and just about the best when it comes to burning backups, never failed me, always booted. I burn them at 8x btw, ever since I read the Metroid Prime 3 topic and seen Elrinth burning them at 18x. Works a treat.

I use Sony AccuCORE burning at 16x.


Only one bad burn,and that was MP3.Only because my pc froze for 5 seconds.

I use the same Sony brand, but are you sure 16 is good? I think it's better to burn the games at slower speeds so I burn my games at 4x

really just because they were on sale at best buy for cheap but they work great!

Ritek G05 burned at 4x using Nero 6 and a Pioneer DVR-109... not a single coaster yet for either GameCube or Wii.

I use Taiyo Yuden or Verbatims.. I have a few Fujis lying around. but if you get fuji, make sure its the spindle with the screw top(JP), not the twist off one(Tw).
