I have a ton of controllers. Most of them are retro. Like a lot of people here I collect game systems. So I have systems like game cube, Wii, Wii U, Genesis, PlayStation 1-2-3-4, and so on with their controllers.
My favorite is the Switch pro controller. I love the feel of it. It's a great controller, for the Switch. I would use it for my PC gaming rig except for one problem. No analog triggers. Come on Nintendo. You do so many things right, and then it's as though you deliberately Fuck shit up. Like the 3DS with ONE thumb stick. It works with the switch only because developers have to work within those restrictions. What could their games look like if they could take advantage of analog triggers? Has anyone tried to drive a car in cyberpunk with the pro controller? It's either full throttle or nothing. Your thumb ends up tapping the trigger as though it was a pwn mosfet.
The DS4 is a fantastic controller. yes it to has it's problems. Why the hell is the share, and option buttons recessed ? Why? And a touch pad that takes up so much real estate that is never used. I know these are petty complaints, but I want to point out that it too is not perfect. However, the fact that you can open any game via Steam, and therefore map the DS4 controller buttons any way you like is the shit. I used it daily until a few weeks ago when I dropped a full cup of coffee on it. I took it apart and cleaned it as best I could, but it was all for naught . She's dead Jim. Amazon is sending me a new shiny red one. I can't wait.
