    No news.

OpenWii is a pretty good firmware to flash to the Chiip right now. It has most of the features of the Chiip firmware, plus the 6x read speed. IT is also being updated on a very regular basis.

Do you flash the Atmega chip with the OpenWii firmware in exactly the same way as you do with the chiip firmware? I.e., using AVRdude and the same command line options?

Yup, the only think that needs to be changed is the name of the hex file.

I'm wondering if once the source for the openwii 1.3 is released if chiip will update with 6x drive speed since the code is out there. Until then, I'm switching to openwii.
