Potentially looking to Hard Mod my console and was wondering where to buy the bits that I need to solder onto the Board for reading/writing the NAND Or if there are any New Zealand based Hard Modders in the North island?

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure all you need is a microSd to SD adapter, some wire, solder and a card reader?

Would it be doable with a Female USB Connector soldered to the appropriate spots?

    probably at home
It's not the best thing to do, because if someone puts it on a usb charger they blow up your 3ds. You can buy those very small connectors from ebay for like 20 cents

Is it fairly easy to Hardmod the regular o3DS? I've had experience soldering before but that was back in school atleast 7 years ago

not possible to directly solder it. You still need to use wires. Both on the motherboard, and leading to the SD adapter.

Then my advice to you is, grab an old computer mainbord or a videocard to practice on soldering on very small points ;)

I've been looking for one, I know I have the soldering experience for it but simply can't find something that appears to have pieced it together in one spot. Seeing the info all over the place and being unsure if it's true is annoying.

There's a video tut of hardmodding for the o3DS XL

The concept should be the same for any 3DS, just different pinouts. 3dbrew should have those

Ive done 2 mods to o3dsXL, but its so much harder on o3ds regular.
One of the pins is microscopic.

Yeah, but if it is your first time I doubt you(or anyone for that matter, including me) would be able to do it.

Show me the pins, hell I'll do it... I already scraped off small parts and attached two wires to the speaker pins for when I get to printing buttons.
