500-700$ for a Laptop? You'll get a Windows XP machine with 512mb of ram, a 60-80gb hdd and a Pentium D, nothing better. Maybe a little worse. Really that's not a lot of money considering 700$ for a desktop isn't that much, that much for a laptop is ridiculous. Please save up more and give us a new budget

In January I bought a NEW Compaq from best buy for $499. It was a very good computer until I had a fit of drunken rage and now I have to get a new laptop. And my desktop I spent as much on my DVD burner as I did for the computer. $500-700 is not a RIDICULOUS price to spend on a laptop for school. Thanks alot for your positive attitude!
