    Hey guys,
I'm looking for the best place to buy an R4DS, or taking suggestions. Preferably a site that has free shipping in the US.
Does a USB connector for the MicroSD card come with the R4DS package, or do I have to buy one seperatly?

    Thanks in advance

I bought mine at DealExtreme.com. But I heard that RealHotStuff is in America and ships pretty fast. The USB connector does come with the package. However, I would suggest you buy another cart because the R4 does not get firmware updates anymore.

And yes, I would know because I have one myself and have been waiting for the R4 team to release the firmware that they were promising. I was sadly disappointed when they didn't.

My friend you are a noob so i will give the benefit of the doubt.

The R4 is no longer being sold or made by the official R4 team, any R4 you purchase will be one of the many fakes out there which usually use a hacked version of the official kernal which is now over 4 months old as its not been supported any more.

My advice is to have a look at all the different flashcards being reviewed on GBATemps main page and you will see that there is much newer/better /cheaper cads these days...R4 is not the end all of flashcards .

    Thanks for the heads up.
Are there any suggestions you could give me? Something around the same price range. I'd appreciate it.

    No problem :-)

I personally have a supercard (SCS1 sdhc) which by the way is less than £17 as dealextreme but most people seem to think the cyclods is the best card available but also one of the more expensive !

Best to look at reviews of these cards on the main page of GBATemp for a better and non biased opinion.

    Points to look out for:

    Regular updates to the card
sdhs support (micro sd over 2 gigs/ 16gig cards available now)
!00% rom compatibility (all games run on it)
    Extra features , RTS/real time saves/cheats/RTG/real time guide/slow motion

Those can be found by the way on the 2 cards i said about above.

The one you got is the "Supercard DS One SDHC" Correct?
If so, it looks like that's the one I'll be getting, thanks.

Also, does it come with the SD-USB connector?

the r4 i purchased last month from RHS was a clone. it had a legit shell, legit case, legit wrist strap, everything, but it was a clone pcb inside. they offered to refund my money and said "they didn't know it was fake." anyways, be weary if you buy from them. the r4 is no longer produced, your chances of getting a clone/fake kit are very high.

I got mine from RealHotStuff and it did not include free shipping but shipping is something you should not be concerned about the over all price should be. And mine did come with with a MicroSD card reader however I never use it and probably can not find it even if I tried.
