Everyone who voted for April and later is stupid. Nintendo's end of financial year is March 31st and they told us it'll be announced before then. That's all we know for sure.

I bet Nintendo want to milk the speculation and leaks as long as possible. Nvidia won't be able to hide an order this big for too long, we'll have exact specs soon.

They need to set up custom firmware (CFW) first. Without CFW, there’s no Switch 2 support—end of discussion.

Big order? What big order? Nintendo lied about not joining the invest on AI build up train? Anyway they probably have to queue up behind so many others nothing significant will be on Nvidia's book for a long time.

I feel like Nintendo could still get alot out of the first Switch so may guess is another 5 years or so until a 2nd generation of the Switch comes out and I think they're (Nvidia) doing the Valve thing with their Steamdeck where they're waiting for better APUs that it would have to be a significant performance uplift and battery life to justify doing it but

If you were in charge of Nintendo you might be able to do it, and I understand your preference not to launch a Switch 2 next year. However, all signs point toward a Switch 2 release, and failing to deliver on that expectation could cost the CEO his job.

I am not exactly sure what that 5.5% of people who voted "This week!!" were thinking.

Many weeks have been passing by, and the Switch 2 hasn't been officially unveiled yet.

They could wait until the last second and do March, but I'm guessing January. A delay passed March is possible, but I doubt it.
I think March would be perfect, because it's early enough in the year that they could build up system hype throughout the rest of the year, and then drop it during the holidays.

I think it does not matter, you want to wait a bit and see whether it is worth it to buy given that there may not be there much to enjoy in the beginning. My Switch collected more than one year of dust as I bought it when it launch. Now it is well used.

It will be build for great gaming. Notice the word build for. Like Apple build their everything for Apple Intelligence. ( dump dump dump ) Not sure when it is going to become useful.
