When will Ocarina of Time and Majoras mAsk get reverse enginerred?

play the 3DS versions, they are in 30fps.
or just wait for Ocarina of Time RE project to be finished (maybe at the end of this year) and maybe wait another 5 years for Majoras Mask to be done.

Majora's Mask 3D even has a restoration project (Link - heh, punz) that makes the already-decent remake loads better, by fixing features 'broken' in the remaking process (for example, Deku Link's hopping speed was reduced in the remake, and fast Zora swimming was altered to require magic usage; the project reverts these changes, and more) and adding new features (touchscreen buttons are now allocated to button combos; the dpad can now quick-change the transformation masks and access the Ocarina; etc.).

Go try that patch! It's downright awesome what Leoetlino and crew were able to do!

Indeed, I do wish Ocarina of Time 3D got a similar patch - not to restore content (because unlike with MM3D, there were no 'broken' mechanics), but to add button combos to touchscreen elements.

You can. Citra has the ability to bond buttons to touchscreen position taps. That is how you can do it.
I bound Item 1 and 2 to R1 and R2. Look to L1 Map to start and Inventory to Select.
