Asking, jlt. The 2011 homebrew bounty contest? 3DS hacking releases? Not asking for a certain date, just a rough time period.

I would say its pretty active right now, at least in the 3DS sections. New hacks all the time, homebrew is churning out steadily... I would pit this against the Wii and DS homebrew days but I cant say for sure since I only really caught the tail end of them.

I bet @Costello or @shaunj66 have statistics of when the Temp was most active.

I imagine it'd probably be now because of the 3DS scene, but I remember back in the day when the DS/Wii/PSP scene were blooming and expanding things seemed pretty active.

Whenever a new Pokemon game would come out and an influx of people would come pouring in just to ask how they can get it for free.

Hmm probably around the time of the first supercard or r4 for the DS?
But yeah, the Pokemon releases were insane, I remember when D/P came out and how the front page had huge bold red text when it was dumped.

Oh, Smash Bros Brawl for Japan was huge too.

I'd say the biggest game releases for both the DS and Wii were some of our busiest moments but I may be wrong. I remember certain DS titles such as Pokemon, Zelda and even Chinatown Wars brought the site to a standstill, we often had to put a static HTML page up with the information as the forum software at the time couldn't cope with all the requests.

I forgot about pokafloods. I guess I discounted them because of how momentary they seemed compared to how long the homebrew waves last.

    This.

Was fucking awful, breaking the site and when it did come back up, just constant "how to download rom" posts.

September 12th 2009. It was so active, that the site was locked off from guests and people were made to join to see the site. I actually joined to bitched about that.

I'm mostly active in "inactive" sections.
    I wouldn't know ;p

All I do know is that with pokefloods are coming, the site is on the verge of collapsing.

When the DS and the 3DS were hacked (when piracy finally worked).

statistically the 'Temp was most active this winter, the months of December 2015 and January 2016 were our highest ever in terms of page views and unique visitors.

I guess that explains my join date. I forgot why I was on the site. But I think I lurked the site for years, before making an account.

I've been here for a long time (way before I actually registered, as a guest) and I agree with this data.

This winter was really crazy. Like I've never seen before.

This. I don't see how an opinion for something factual is needed, but eh. *shrugs*
