It's now April and I'm wondering when Nintendo will announce VC support. I've been downloading NeoGeo games, but what about NES, SNES, N64, GBA, and DS games? Even Wii games, if possible. If they start over again with only NES and SNES, I'm gonna be pissed! That's one thing the Wii U did and one of it's first of many mistakes! GBA games are long overdue for an actual 'handheld" since the 3DS only got 10 GBA games.

The only hint we know is that NES and SNES will have 1 free game each month and then you have to buy it, to keep it and the games will also have online features.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Maybe at E3 they will announce the date for the announcement.
I hope it's a big one. Like they launch the VC with 50 games from the Wii U library from NES, SNES, N64, and GBA and of course 5 GCN games; Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Animal Crossing. I also assume that DS, Wii, and TG-16 games will also come, too but not for awhile. Maybe TG-16 games will come before the end of the year but DS and Wii VC games will probably be in 2018. If 3DS VC games come, it'll probably be in 2019 or 2020. Not sure if we'll ever get GB and GBC games? I mean they still have them, only on the 3DS and there's hasn't been any new GB or GBC games since early 2015, not counting the Pokemon R/B/Y games from last year.

There better not be another VC drought, like they had with the Wii and 3DS! I was already pisssed that there were no VC games in the March 23 update. Worst eShop update ever! At least we finally got Pikmin 2 last week, thank God! All that's left is New Super Mario Bros. Wii and we have all of Europe's VC games, except for the ones that never saw a release in North America like Devil World and Mario's Super Picross.

I will make the guess that they will release Virtual Console alongside the new online fee.
My bet is that they will announce it if it's not by May, then by the E3 this year.
If it's on the E3, it will be online right as they end the presentation.

Although, waiting until the E3 to give some life to the Switch would be absolutely stupid from their part if they do.
They need something to make people want to buy the thing which is not Zelda, and to be honest I am holding on a purchase of one until they deliver a proper Internet Browser and/or Virtual Console.

Lots of stuff still missing from the Switch:

* Streaming Apps (YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, etc.)
* Virtual Console (NES, SNES, N64, GCN, Wii, GB, GBC, GBA, and DS)
* Internet browser
* Cloud saves
* Movable icons on the home menu
* Folders

Eh, not a fan of NeoGeo, I want third party Snes games, you know, from Square Enix, and proper NES and Snes emulation, not that washed out crap we got on Wii U XD
I enjoy the Metal Slug games and some of the run 'n gun games but there's too many fighting games! It's sad that the Wii U missed out on these games:

Yoshi's Cookie (NES)
Adventures of Lolo 2&3 (NES)
Adventure Island 2&3 (NES)
Faxanadu (NES)
Contra (NES)
Jackal (NES)
Journey of Silius (NES)
Super Mario All-Stars (SNES)
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES)
Star Fox (SNES)
Kirby's Avalanche (SNES)
ActRaiser 1&2 (SNES)
Soul Blazer (SNES)
Illusion of Gaia (SNES)
Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Secret of Mana (SNES)
Secret of Evermore (SNES)
Final Fantasy II&III (SNES)
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (SNES)
Aero The Acro-bat 1&2 (SNES)
Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES)
Ghoul Patrol (SNES)
Mario Party 1&3 (N64)
Pokemon Puzzle League (N64)
Super Smash Bros. (N64)
Bomerman Hero (N64)
Rayman 2: The Great Escape (N64)
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (TG-16)
Sega Mega Drive/Genesis games
