Hacking What's your New 3DS firmware? (Launch day N3DS)

Could be that they got a newer and bigger supply of the black 3ds recently and are available in the stores. So MAYBE Nintendo shipped them new stock.
Seems all of the BestBuy's only have Black in stock for store pickups.

I picked up a red and it was on 9.4

Damn surprising to see big box retailers like Walmart and even best buy selling updated units I figured if anyone would be updating consoles it would be lamestop so any reports of 9.4 consoles from lamestop or target yet?
A friend is picking up a red one preordered from lamestop later today so i will report back the FW later tonight

Seems like big stores are getting shipments of New 3DS' with FW 9.4 due to high demand within the year.

Go to not-so-big stores.
Avoid Best Buy, Walmart, Target, all those kind of stores if you want a <9.2 3DS

At least we now have confirmation that both Walmart and Best buy are selling 9.4 consoles.
We still have to hear a word from Target, K-Mart.

So far I have seen GameStop clients getting 9.0U so far, haven't heard of a 9.4U one from GameStop... yet.

Yikes. I guess we need to start collecting serials and/or manufacture dates in order to figure out if retailers/Nintendo updated them manually or if they were manufactured post-Dec once 9.4 was out.

This is looking like it might be a situation worse than finding 4.5 3DS's since not even the entire launch stock is at <9.3.

There's some guy over on MaxConsole saying he got a Red N3DS on 9.4U from EBGames. Seems like most of the 9.4 consoles are red, haven't seen a 9.4U Black N3DS yet.

Please, write alongside your system firmware, the serial number too.
Only then we could be certain if they are updating them or if it is a new batch of consoles.

So my roomies and me just got the N3DS, one red, one black, and one was the Monster Hunter 4 Edition.
Both the red and black were bought today, 2/13 from Best Buy in MA. They are both on 9.0.0-20U. Will update when the Monster Hunter one defrost lol.
