I spend about 3k a year at Amazon and could never find the pre-order for it. When the hell did they offer it?

I just checked and there's no sign of USA N3DS there... too bad!

Got 2 Black 3DSes at Walmart they came with 9.0.

I know the MM edition is a LIMITED edition, therefore few editions were built, but what do you guys think:
should I rush and buy a regular black or red N3DS while we have a greater chance of picking up a 9.0-9.2 FW version or should I wait one or two more weeks hoping for possible MM restock?

Yeah, Basically Amazon wanted to skew the price off of american consoles because Microsoft and Sony both agreed to it, so they tried to bully Nintendo for the America market and they wanted nothing of it, so they pulled all consoles from Amazon for US.

Hmmmm! I'm starting to believe I need to buy one while we still find in 9.2...
I'm seeing many different versions appearing in the consoles other users bought... 9.0, 9.2 even 9.4 (rumor?)

I can't speak for everyone but a friend of mine got the Zelda one and it was 9.0u
