Probably tetris DS. I mainly use it to keep my hands busy and keep myself focused.

Chore. I have been known to play it when I probably should have been taking a rest from typing type things for a while.

Other games come and go (and may see me forgo sleep, eating, being sociable or other things) but there is always a version of tetris around.

Hill Climb Racing on Android. It really did become a chore. I was playing the same level over and over to get money to unlock the next level or vehicle.

I've played Starfox 64/Lylat Wars to the point where I can literally fly by memory, I can do almost the entire game blindfolded. Hell, I can beat the first level with an analogue stick that can only go down or right.

I've also played Final Fantasy 7 to the point where I have pretty much the entire script memorized, and I can quote from Advent Children Complete in English and Japanese.

Ninja Gaiden for NES, no death run becomes naturally easy after beating the game again and again.

Addition? Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Basically video game crack for me. Get a mission, equip your team and micromanage, finish the mission, and see what you got from your AP points. then repeat.

Chore, Ive played MegaMan x4, Crash Team Racing (story mode), and SM64 to chore status.

F***ing Candy Crush Saga. I was finally able to stop smoking playing around July (just before final exams), but my older sister on Monday asked me to help her on a level, and now I'm back into the game.

Other than that, the most addictive games for myself are Custom Robo (Gamecube) and Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday (PSP)

I'm going with solsuite solitaire. More specifically "spider 2 suite". Statistically, you have 20% chance of winning. However, with backtracking and making different moves, all games can be won. And I should now...I've won about a thousand of those games by now (I play it while listening to music).

I've put way more time in UT2004, but that game was way to diverse to ever become a chore.

I'm breaking this into two topics sort of:

Most addicting? Either Ocarina of Time, Halo 3, Last of Us, GTA V, Left 4 Dead 1 (because L4D2 was complete shit).
None of them I considered a chore, I just love them all that much.

Ones that felt like a chore? Super Mario Sunshine. Game is fucking broken and is garbage. Animal Crossing New Leaf as well. Boring as shit, I just felt obligated to play it. Assassin's Creed 3 as well, that game was so bad that it shouldn't even have the title of Assassin's Creed.

well it's tough to answer... i'm going break it down to my age.

8-12 Tom And Jerry for Nes rented the shit out of that game.

right now it's a tie between persona 3 and 4.

Game I spent the most time on is Oblivion or Dark Souls. I remember Oblivion had nearly 2GB of save states on my 360 covering like 300hrs.
Game that became addictive and then a chore would be Mega Man Battle Network 2. I've no idea how long I played it as the timer stopped at 99.99.

Game I've played and finished the most times would be Castlevania SOTN. I've played it on every system it released on as well as emulating it on a ton of other systems. One of my favorite games ever.
