Ok folks, so I know that we're all gamers and popcorn-film-er's here, to one degree or another. And most, if not all of us, LOVE watching Zombie flicks, and shooting zombies in Zombie-infested games. The whole ZOMBIE trend is world-wide phenomina and it's just such a marvel. We've had zombie movies and games since for-fucking-ever, even the games that started with it, with (but not limited to) "Night of the Living Dead", and games like "Zombies Ate My Neighbours " and JUST A SHITLOAD OF Zombie films and games coming out of every corner of the Universe.

Here's the deal... I will only name one film and game - I won't name any other films or games (other than the above) because if I name ANY of them, I'd have to name ALL OF THEM, which would be tiresome and so forth...

However, EVERYBODY LOVES ZOMBIES, so let's nail this puppy to the wall and get out our sick fetishes!!!

I WILL mention my favorite Zombie film and game... There are so many to choose from, and they are all AWESOME films and games in thier own right. However, in the end, I'm going to have to go with "THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD". Great film, great violence and a SHITLOAD of humor.

And as a gamer (you're going to hate me for this), I cannot decide between...

1) Resident Evil series - to pick ONE GAME out of them all is like trying to wipe your ass with a pine cone. So, I'll just stick with the series as a whole.

2) Dead Nation, for the PS Vita (you can find this in the PKGj app). Great gaming, and you're always on the edge of dying. This is the kind of game that keeps you on your toes (actually, make that "thumbs") but it does not have the kind of "exploration" that Resident Evil has. One more note on that, I know that the Call of Duty series has brought in zombies (at least that's what I understand) but I've never played any of those games.

So, we've got a plethora of games and movies to name. I hope this thread is fruitful and people will chime in. I think that, given the content, people will share and voice their passion for this whole ZOMBIE BIT.

LONG LIVE THE UN-DEAD!!!

- Cheers!!!

I don't think I can name a single favorite movie, so I'll just pick a few that come to mind in no particular order:

Day of the Dead: the story is very good, and it has some of the greatest practical effects I've ever seen in a horror movie.
Zombie Flesh Eaters: it has some really good gore scenes and a fight scene between a zombie and a shark.
Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror: this one is very silly but still entertaining, it has a dwarf actor playing the role of a child.
Braindead: I think this one has the world record for most fake blood used in a movie. It's equal parts comedy and horror.

As for games, probably Resident Evil 1 Remake. It's one of my favorite games of all time. I really like that you need to plan ahead, since bullets are very limited, and zombies will come back faster and deadlier after being killed once, so to prevent this you need to either burn the bodies with kerosene, which is found in very limited amounts, or blow their heads off with the shotgun (I might be wrong but I seem to remember that blowing one of their legs off also prevents them from reviving). Then there's the "one dangerous zombie mode", the mode you unlock after beating the game on hard difficulty, where there's this zombie strapped with grenades that will explode if you shoot or stab him, killing you instantly. He can also follow you to almost any room in the mansion and he's very fast. This is my favorite game mode.

Pardon me, I have a question for you...

Not sure if you've seen ZOMBIE, but in THAT Film, there was a zombie who bit into and nailed a shark. Are you sure you have the right film on that? Because I cannot imagine that there are 2 zombie flicks with the same scene...

Here, I'm looking for it right now. Sorry, I've got quite a mess of DVD's to go through.,..

Wow, just read the rest of this and WHAM-O!!!

Tell me something, you mentioned the Resident Evil Remake... certainly this is NOT the NGC version. What platform was this released on???

I yes, I enjoy "CAMPY" zombie films. I like ALL OF THEM. Even the bad ones...

Do you remember "The Return Of The Living Dead"??? Of course you do. Do you remember the opening shot of that film? It was a STATEMENT:

"All characters in this film are real. The names are all real, and the locations are all true"

Whatever dude it just one of those things that have you in stitches!!!

Yeah, that's the one. It has a few alternate titles, most notably Zombie, Zombi 2, and Zombie Flesh Eaters:

The first time I played it was on the GameCube, but it's also available on a bunch of other consoles and PC.

I don't remember that bit, but it's been a while, maybe it's time to rewatch this movie. One of the scenes that stuck with me the most from the beginning scenes was the one where they find the dog cut in half panting on the floor. That movie is a lot of fun.

I know the scene very well, and the guy starts hitting the dog with a crutch!!! Very fun movie indeed!!!

Where in the BLUE FUCK have YOU been??? And amazingly, I've never played it. I've heard about it everywhere, but I've never played it. What version of it would you recommend, or what PLATFORM are you playing it on?

Movie: Braindead (uncut version), still hoping for a bluray release.
Game: Resident Evil 2 on PSX.

Braindead... seems I've heard of it, but I cannot place it. Hmph!!!

And RE2 on PSX was always THE BOMB. I like how, in the opening cinematic scene, the truck driver for "TAXAGO" started that whole fire bit... TAXAGO!!! Hahaha, gotta love Capcom for making that one up!!!

What do you mean where the "BLUE FUCK" have I've been? I've been everywhere!!

Oh woah that's crazy, well the first one is always a good start, it's free on mobile (But with too may ads and cut features) the full package is on steam, but it costs 5 dollars, so money. If you have a modded 3DS you can get the DS version for free, but with kinda ugly graphics (It's the one I play on since I usually play PVZ on the go)

Game wise, I've played a bit of the Resident Evil series here and there and started a couple of the other obvious classics that I can't think of the name of, but for real favourites I have to go the fungal route with The Last of Us series.

Movies, I got heavily into watching every zombie movie I could find for a while, mainstream and indie and international, tho it was too long ago for me to remember a lot of them well. I can agree with the original Day of the Dead being a solid classic. Pure comedy wise I enjoyed the one with Billy Connolly, Fido. (Oh yeah comedy TV show, Santa Clarita Diet, was fun too). There's an indie zombie movie from awhile ago tho that has the privilege of being the only zombie movie to have me actually in it (as a zombie extra), it's called Zombie Hood - it wouldn't top any lists but it's solid for an indie.

Braindead aka Dead Alive, was one oof the first Peter Jackson movies.
Also on off the first horror movies that I saw. First I saw it on vhs, later I got it on dvd both where the uncut.
Its so sad that the bluray version is cut and that Peter Jackson says that is best verion off the version....

The one problem I have with a lot of beard balms like that is that they smell so intensely that it's like the only thing I can smell for an hour
  • Veho @ Veho:
Question, what does a beard balm/wax actually do? Is it just a hair oil product, or does it act as a gel and shapes it or what?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Yeah it's a hair oil, kind of like a leave-in conditioner, but it also helps to keep your skin under the beard moisturized a bit, and since it is oily it does help a tiny bit with helping it hold its shape or lay flatter especially after brushing it
