Mega Man X. I think it's better than X2 and X3 in that it has weapons that are useful out of the key-and-lock secrets, and these are not nonsensical to find. From the regular series, I can't decide between Mega Man 1 and 2.

    Nothing beats the original series

If I had to choose from the other ones... I would go with Rockman Zero, I really enjoyed those 4 games!

Mega Man X4 was my favorite, but I like all of them...except 7.
EDIT: Also Maverick Hunter X was really damn fun, i'm sad they didn't rake in enough to continue it...would've been awesome.

The original Mega Man games are also quite fun, but I find them more frustrating than challenging, for most of them.

The Zero series is interesting and quuuite challenging, so I had fun with them.

Battle Network is a plague that butchered and murdered the series. Sure the games are okay, but call them something different. There's nothing "Mega Man" about any of it except a few off references.

    EDIT EDIT:
oh yeah Legends. Lots of fun too. But suuch a pain in the butt. Don't think I ever did finish them.

I was never a fan of the original megaman but 2 is worth playing just for the music. X series on snes was always the best of "that" type of megaman game, i never liked the newer ones (altho ZX on DS was pretty good) but the best megaman games imo were the battle network series, they were so much fun and they had everything, the battle system was great, collecting all the powerups was addictive and it had a pretty decent story/plot.

Can't really decide, too many to choose from, but I do know that I was never able to play the Legends Series but I would like to. If I had to narrow it down, I would say MM 2 & 9, MMMHX, 4 & 8, EXE series, Zero & ZX series

He's like the main reason why I like the color blue

I liked all of the megaman games but my favorites are the Battle network games, Zero games, Star force games, ZXA, ZX and the X games.

I also am hoping that they make a new Megaman game similar to the Battle network series and if it comes out for the 3ds(which it will most likely come out for it) I will buy a 3ds just for that game and maybe Pokemon Y

I'm in the process of playing all of them, but so far I would say Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X.

Mega Man 3 hands down. I also like the 2nd and 4th part. The rest is not up to those standards, really. the first X was pretty cool but it all got so stale after that...

Haven't played much of the classic series, but I do remember playing Megaman 5 for the Gameboy back then. I was quite fond of Megaman Xtreme 1+2 (X series port/spinoff/remake for GBC). I also remember beating Battle Network 5: Team Colonel, and also played Battle Chip Challenge. I also played Powered Up and Maverick Hunter X for the PSP, I thought they were pretty good, as well as the ZX series for the DS. I honestly don't have any favorites, but if I had to choose, I think it'd be Xtreme 2, because it was the game that got me into Megaman games, hell, got me into gaming in general. I no longer have the game or my purple GBC, but emulators have helped me relive those days.
