I will however consume 10 metric tons of Gatorade per second, if allowed.
There have been three occasions I have consumed gatorade in my life.

One was OK, bit of American sugar water but eh. Second it was all that was in the car and I was parched... I thought my kidneys were going to leave me and the ride home was the most torturous I have ever had. Third time someone brought over some of those super concentrated drinks you put a squirt or two in a glass of water and despite the previous occasion I tried again... my entire digestive system would have got up and walked away had it not simultaneously felt like it had ten rounds in the ring with nothing but body shots and then not drank anything while working outside all day.

Other than tomatoes my stomach/digestive sysem is pretty on top of things -- I eat raw citric acid because I enjoy the taste; I will eat curry for breakfast, lunch and dinner and be delighted at the state of affairs; chillies as hot as they come (though better if they can also have some taste to back it up) and chilli is likely to elicit the same overjoyed response...

Half-way through the first page, I got tired of following along. There are awesome drinks in every category. Those that say beer because it's more accessible than wine, or that you simply do not like wine... do you have any idea just how many wines there are? I guarantee there is a wine for EVERYBODY. Wet, dry, sweet, bitter, you name it, there is a wine for that. I've never had any expensive wines, but I tend to go for the sweet, fruity ones. Rose, mostly. Like White Zinfandel. In Australia there is one that I only know by "Brown Brothers". Not expensive, and very tasty. I was convinced I hated red wines... until I had some Roscato. I have 2 bottles of that stuff in my house right now.

Beer? Not usual for me, but when I drink it, it's usually because other things are more expensive (probably where the "accessible" sentiment comes in). I'm a mixed bag with beer though. Most things in a can... I'll pass. Bud or PBR... pass. I can't stand Guinness, but I LOVE Kilkenny. It's pretty hard to find in Japan too. I'll drink Dos Eques, Tiger, Orion (Okinawa), San Miguel, Rolling Rock, New Castle, a Belgium Tripel... this'll get too long if I try to list them all. Depends where I'm at. But Carlsburg is definitely NOT "Australian for beer".

Whiskey? Used to think I hated all things whiskey, until a few months ago. And I'm nearly 47. I was in Korea trying to blow money, playing slots at a casino, but ended up winning. So I decided to walk into a shot bar that had this 14 Year Windsor, and they served a shot with a small can of lemon Ceylon tea. It was heavenly! I've since purchased Johnny Walker Blue Label, because everyone is always talking about it. It's ok, but nothing I would fuss over. "The Yamazaki" (Japanese from Suntori) is better, IMHO. I have a bottle of 12 year Yamazaki on order right now.

My go-to drink in Japan? Sochu. Cheap Jinro is fine by me. Tastes like whatever juice you mix with it. I'm partial to cranberry (or cran-grape), lime, or lemon. And I prefer sours, not Chu-Hi .Chu Hi is carbonated (soda water added), and I find that it's the only way to get a hangover with this stuff. I can burn through nearly an entire bottle in a night, and not be hungover the next day.

Best night cap? Ume shu. Japanese plumb wine. Various types and vintages. My favorite so far is not the most expensive I've had. In fact, it's less than $9 locally when you figure the yen rate. Only English word on it is "Black" and in Japanese, I can make out that it's a brandy-style Ume Shu. Anyway, if I have some of this right before bed (and don't open up YouTube on my iPAD as soon as I lay down), I sleep like a baby.

Laphroaig 10yr, or Ardbeg Uigeadail

But they're pricey, so I'm usually sippin' Ardbeg Wee Beastie or Woodford Reserve.

I would say Gatorade flavors are 99% pure trash, and the only solid ones are the blue flavors. The shots are vomit-worthy, the lemon lime flavor tastes like old socks, and the zero sugar ones have the most horrible aftertaste.

I do not drink
This is cool, for real.
Wet, dry, sweet, bitter, you name it, there is a wine for that. I've never had any expensive wines, but I tend to go for the sweet, fruity ones.
The most expensive wine i've drunk was one from Porto, Portugal that my mom bought. It was a rosé, dry and bitter, the color was very bright. Best wine i've ever drunk.
Japanese plumb wine. Various types and vintages.
You really like wine don't you? I wish i could drink more of it.
Whiskey + cola
For a long time i thought that whiskycola was Cuba livre lol
orchard pig cider
Sounds straight outta a RPG, what in the world is a orchard pig cider?

Can someone specialized in root beer recommend their favorite please??

I like cherry beers a lot....Like LINDEMAN's KRIEK ;)
You are going to have to try them really. There are two general schools of thought in as much as some opt for just a taste of it, others opt to try to overwhelm you with it, and as the fun police came for the original recipe version you are pretty much limited to finest industrial chemistry whichever way you go (some might still do a home made version). I tend to favour the latter (as I do in all things -- extreme tastes is my general way).
I don't know what you will find in France for this one either, certainly never seen it in any bars, restaurants or pubs there but have not been to a supermarket for a while (and probably would not have looked anyway).
In the US I used to frequent a root beer shop that sold thousands of varieties, and supermarkets sell a variety of types, and people do occasionally do their own as well. Most of the boutique ones were similar in nature and more in the fancy bottles and labels, though a few I have since forgotten (said shops closed a few years back) did stand out.
In the UK I am mostly limited to boring but serviceable American imports (mug, a&w, barqs and such), Bundaberg (Australian company but fairly worldwide, their root beer is short of amazing but I will put it up against anything in the boring bit any day of the week), few tepid local attempts (though Virgil's was not bad) and if I am lucky then Fentimans. Fentimans is a drink company that purposely goes for old school recipes for things, often fermented (0.5% booze at best but still fermented) which can be its own thing vs said finest industrial chemistry though personally I love it.

If you want most of the experience if there are any wintergreen sweets (Altoids do a flavour).

None are awful but it can be the difference if you are more familiar with ginger beer then it is the difference between a basic can in the shop and grandpa's mouth burner that is lovingly prepared over weeks. Many are also better if they are cold.

My favorite of all time is no longer made. Back in the late 80's/early 90's, Barqs Amberjack. It was like$8 or $9 a six pack, back then. Was so good, it would NEVER be sold in a can. Bottle-only. Not that this info helps today, unfortunately :(

My favourite alchoholic drinks are Kraken rum and cola followed by vodka and cola then by raspberry vodka and lemonade.

Favourite fizzy drink is Sublime Lime Diet Coke.

Favorite non alcoholic drink...?

Funny story actually, back in high school they heavily frowned upon ANY form of soda...yet they still had diet doctor pepper, my guess is that they didn't expect an mf like me to come along and consume it so frequently... good times.

I do really love "Avena Caleña" is a traditional cold beverage made from Avena (oat) -obiously-, milk cinnamon, and sugar, is not only a refreshing beverage also an energetic meal.

The name "Caleña" refers to the part of Colombia where is originated from: Cali

Traditional is served with ice from street vendors, but recently you can get on supermarket from several big companies.
