I've been using Exfat with SX since it came out, the only time my 400gb sdcard got corrupted was when i tried copying some games from my pc to the switch using a usb cable. now i just copy them from my pc to a ssd drive and plug the ssd drive into my switch and cut and paste them from there to my sd card, never had a problem doing it that way.

I rather not use fat32 because of the 4GB limit, and i really dislike command prompt stuff and rather just use a GUI instead for splitting NSP files, and not having to install stuff like python and so on to just clutter more on my windows ssd than needed, and rather just use exfat instead. But so many advice against that. Why is that? What's the worst that can happen? CAuse i do take backup of the sd card.
Been using exfat since day one never had an issue so not sure what people’s problems are with it

Install games over USB or network then you don't need to worry about the 4GB limit, in fact you will not even notice it's there.
USB install to me is more convenient anyway. No need to turn off the Switch to copy the games over, or to use a slow FTP homebrew or something like nxmtp, all you need is the nsp installer you already have, and the corresponding PC side application.

So since it can cause corruptions while performing write on the sd card, does it include og tinfoil or any other nsp installer installing games on the sd card itself?

Yes, that would be an example of "writing to the ad card" Just because the package is on the sd card, doesn't mean the data being installed from it isn't being written to it. That would be the equivalent of a doctor telling you lifting any item would injure your broken arm, and you see a moving box and think to yourself "I'll just move the items INSIDE of the box" that would still be lifting an item. You guys understand?

Initially i was convinced on this post to format my card to fat32 from exfat, after reading several comments in favour of exfat i am convinced to remain with exfat. This is getting too complicated and technical for me :)

It was like every other week 1 of my games were getting corrupted with exfat just doing nothing and kept having to reinstall them. Fat32 and USB install has had no problems for me.
