Refer ti the title. Also what do you recommend?? Alpha or Beta??
Alpha and Beta of what?
If you are talking about newer/older versions of stuff, Beta is newer than Alpha.
I was trying to download WiiFlow 2.2 and I saw A Beta and an Alpha
A general classification:
Alpha versions are always "known unstable" and are more a preview and open a discussion about the general style.
Beta versions are generally made to find errors. They are close to a release.
RC (release candidates) are the last test version(s) planned for a final release. The may be perfect.
If unsure use neither alpha or beta, but the release of the previous version.
