So, it is available for Android and iOS, but why do it on an app instead of on the system itself. If a kid took your phone it would be even easier to change them. I am especially worried that noobs will start asking questions about using the app as a possible entrypoint for an exploit. What are your thoughts on it?

    Down there
It basically moves the parents controls + play logs to your phone and lets you limit the play time, this is just like any parents control tool on pc/Android so all theyve done is catch up with the competition

Basically it lets you monitor the system while you are away, or make changes even if you can't get to the system

Look, whatever opinions you have on that app, you cannot deny the trailer (or whatever you would call it) for the app was, for lack of a better term...

Why would someone, as a parent, let their kid just take their phone anyway?...

No small children live here, so Parental Controlls only really protect against theft in my house.

Exactly. Children do not need phones until they are old enough to work and pay for it. And by that I mean an actual job, where you pay taxes. Not just chores around the house.

Proud to be Portuguese but I am in USA.
What's wrong with that ? It can help kids under control. More playing outside, focus on homework, and etc. It is called reward if they are doing a good job or something then their parents would unlock it and let them to playing more.

There is a password that kid cannot change them. I support this decision if I am a father (Not want one). I have seen my nephews and nieces are so into phone, video games, and video chat instead of outside to have fun and enjoying the nature. I didn't say anything ti my sisters at all. They are not good parents to my opinion because look at them. Poor kids. That's sad!

I lock down my step-daughters phone with my thumbprint and AppLock Pro. I also have my DD-WRT router programmed to turn off her internet access at bedtime, and she can't disable the Wi-Fi on the phone to use the LTE.

I'd disagree on that point, I got a phone in middle school once I started getting involved in after-school activities and the like (I lived 20 minutes from where I went to school and communication kind of helps).

Phones are very cheap nowadays so parents giving them a basic phone is always a good idea to keep in contact with them, if needed. However, the parents that give their children high-end design phones like the iPhones, Galaxy or whatever are putting their kid at risk of being assaulted.

Maybe they want to talk to their friend? Or play Angry Birds?

Oh, no, definitely. My first phone was a Samsung Character (one of those slide phones)
I suppose, but for the parents that frequently hand their phone to their kid for entertainment, there's the phone's parental control system and the password needed to login

I believe a hypocrite its if you say a thing to the person, but when they are not there, you say other things.

He did not say anything to his sisters so, saying it here should not be something of a hypocrite, as long as you just don't say the things and then say other things.

    (Pretty confusing).

What you are describing is being two faced. A hypocrite is when you say or do something that is in opposition to your stated beliefs. I can say I hate people that use computers and that would make me a hypocrite because I'm using one right now.

    Parental controls
Keep the focus on fun by using parental controls to manage how your family interacts with Nintendo Switch.

You can manage Nintendo eShop purchases via your Nintendo Account. You may also limit sharing on social networks, restrict access to games based on their ESRB ratings, and more. A free app gives you even more choices and a handy way to manage your Nintendo Switch parental controls from anywhere via your mobile device.

You know they made a wall plug like this. It beep and gave a warning after x amount of time to let your child know there time was running out and the power would be cut.

Having this on the app is great for that.
No more having kids playing games all night long and not sleeping for school etc..

My questions about it tho, what happens when your system isnt conntected to wifi?
    Is there an override.
Lets say your mobile and there is no wifi for the switch and it was setup to turn off in a little.

I wonder if there is a way to get into it from the system and change it.
If not that would suck because you cant make changes until the phone with the app and the switch are connected to the internet.

Either way the system is mines so i wouldnt need to use it.
