If you bought that in Australia you would have had to pay 5 cents - we no longer have 1c and 2c coins so it would have been rounded up :-p

Which is a good thing, when you consider that those coins cost more to make than their face value - More countries should do this.

Wow, this is actually a toughie. Let's see... If it's bang for the buck value, I picked up the GOTY copies of Borderlands 1 and 2 on a Steam Sale for $8 total a few summers ago. Otherwise, I think I paid something like 25¢ for a used copy of Star Fox Assault at GameStop once, to replace my old launch-day disc someone ran off with.

That's a good deal. Wish I got those xd
I was really baffled honestly.
The seller was a dad, and clearly didn't know the value of these.
I even got a GBA SP (AGS-101) and a fully functional Nintendo Gamecube, including the Pokémon games, for a grand total of $100

While not the cheapest game i have ever bought ( that would be a copy of FF13 i bought for 10p to be used in as a prop in something) the best deal I ever got on some games was a box of PS1 games when a local business whet under. I paid £50 for the box and it had about 25 games in. In the bottom of the box was 2 copies of Suikoden 2 - One opened, one factory sealed Sold the open one almost immediately to a friend for £45 still have the sealed one to this day.

I got a copy of a trash game called zack zero for $0.06

Some company was doing a promotion that you could get any game in their store for $0.06 - but they gave out like 1000 games from humble bundles, and like only 5 AAA/actually-worth-playing games.

I bought a couple Super Famicom games out of a basket for 30 yen each a few years back. They were useless horse racing and mahjong games. All I wanted were the cartridge shells (to make a home for my SD2SNES).

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card

Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
