So whats the best slot 2 device for playing GBA games that works well with the R4?

I see so many different ones but i dont wanna pick one that sucks. Is the M3 Lite good?

m3 lite is good, but if you can cope with having no real time clock (for real time actions like in pokemon) i suggest the ez4 lite deluxe.
best compatibility and performance out there!

what makes the ez4 lite deluxe better than the m3 lite? Do some gba games not work on one but do on the other?

the loader of the m3 lite is a little outdated.

also the ez4 loads faster.

by the way: both can be used as ram expansion for the opera browser, if you want.

well from this topic i have come to this...

M3 Lite:

outdated loader (whats that even mean?)

EZ4:

no real time clock
Faster load times (but its gba so who cares :wtf:)

i assume they can both play like every gba game...

so far im leaning towards the M3 Lite as long as that outdated loader isn't a major issue

ez 3 in 1 is your best bet. I have an R4 and it works with all games (except RTC games like pokemon). Also, its only 20$ so its really cheap (unlike m3 perfect lite thats 70+$)

oh my friend wants a 3in1 also but he doesn't have an R4 (or any slot 1 device for that matter, and doesn't want one)

You can just use a 3in1 without a slot 1 device and just be able to play gba games right?

m3 perfect lite microsd seems like something he would be interested (if he has the cash). it uses a microsd to play gba games from the slot 2 (and w/ RTC for pokemon games).

but for the money, he would be better off getting a R4+ez 3 in 1 for the same price as the m3 perfect lite (in which you could play both .nds and .gba games)

is there something cheaper he could combine with the EZ3in1 other than the R4? He really only is interested in GBA games so... he prolly doesn't wanna drop around $60 for an r4.
