To clarify, DeSmuME is, I believe, 1 of 2 emulators to be active.
The other, No$GBA, has notorious issues with dull colors, and I believe you still need the NDS BIOS to run anything.

There's also dasShiny, but that's very un-user friendly currently.

The last time I checked, dasShiny is not only slower than DeSmuME, but less accurate, defeating its purpose.

desmume, it runs "out of the box" with no extra software needed, and i has some nice features.
