An SD card will be supported in more apps than a SDHC. So the compatiblity is better for SD.

in the short term it will work in more apps, but in the long run if your looking on investing in one then these issues will probably be solved soon.

SDHC has a theoretical maximum limit of 32 gigs.
SD has a maximum limit of 2 gigs (although there are some 4 gig... nevermind)

Compatibility. Some older homebrew doesn't support the SDHC. Most popular ones do. Two notable exceptions: The new version of Homebrew Channel and it appears BootMii has some trouble with SDHC cards (although not all)

Go to a place like Microcenter and you can get a 2 gb Kingston SD for $7. Search online and you can get an 8 gb SDHC for pretty cheap as well. Do what I do, get one of each, there are many things you can use an SD card for anyway (Many digital cameras, DSi, netbooks).

Link5084, can you stop posting questions as threads? Every single day I see a question by YOU as if you swear on your right hand that you would post a "Question of the day" on GBATemp.

Most of your questions can already be found through a search, you know.

Any game older than the 4.0 update(and maybe some ones released shortly after) do not support SDHC

Most of the popular ones are regularly updated and support SDHC.

Not official Nintendo games... For example, Barlw can't use SDHC cards because of the way the drivers are coded.
