I don't really care about this discussion but all those points can be an opinion depending on how you look at it.
No they can't be.

1 - "Costs more" is NOT an opinion.
$1000 is more than $500 USD. That is not up to opinion.

2 - "Outdated in a week" is NOT an option. Same issue as with the numbers, only dealing with measurements of time.
One week is shorter than one year. That is not up to opinion.
The time span from Jan 1st 2011 to Jan 1st 2012 is one year. That is not up to opinion.

3 - "No games" is NOT an opinion.
Even simpler as we're talking about pure numbers again...

Something like "$500 is more than $1000" (to use one of my made-up examples) is not an opinion, and you shouldn't let people go on thinking they can just make up bullshit and slap "opinion" on the end to avoid liability.

all the BS in this thread aside, here are some other options that you may have not considered.
The 555M is a great mid-ranged card for gaming, despite supporting Optimus, which may have iffy drivers sometimes
the 560M is a entry level higher-ranged card ~ though, personally, I'd go with the np5165 because it's more balanced.
The free shipping is an excellent plus as well, for a promotion.

I have a sager these days and it's one of the best computers that I've owned in a long while. It's stable, has an EXCELLENT
cooling system with dual vents in the back (CPU/GPU side) so I never have to worry about it over heating. XoticPC's customer service
is excellent, it's nice talking to people that actually have the power to get things done & not jump through hoops like dell or hp.
Having a 1920x1080 resolution is also fantastic for productivity and a bit uncommon (if not rare) on laptops in this price range
distributed by more main-stream companies/manufacturers who tend to lean towards 1600x900 & 1366x768.

I myself have a Dell XPS L702X that I got for around $1000. The GT555M GPU is more than sufficient for playing many games at mid to high settings. Optimus has never been an issue except when I'm on battery power and my laptop runs low on battery, because it switches back to Intel HD3000 graphics.

Mind you, $1000 was after some steep discounts I got. However, if you're looking at carrying your laptop around (I personally don't find this laptop heavy) it's a pretty good laptop, since it was designed for entertainment. Just don't get the 3D option, it kills framerates and you get no Optimus = worse battery life when not playing games.

(You can probably get a lower price by dropping out the Blu-ray drive and second hard drive as well as going down to the i7-2670QM if you combine with discounts)

Those look pretty good as well. It seems that Acer has a kind of code. The first set of numbers is the board+case and the last few is the main options? I remember HP doing something like that as well but it's more like the last 2 numbers and a couple of letters. ZD8115-US (made up model) would share most parts with an ZD8100-JP (again, made up). You can verify if this is true by looking at the bill of goods in the service manual. If the motherboard and keyboard have the same part numbers, you can be sure that the parts are mostly the same. On Dells, they often have shared part numbers as well but they're a lot more obtuse in naming almost identical systems. :/ They also have the same part with different numbers because of replacing older inventory with newer designs that still work on older systems. For example, the power adapters. PA-2, PA-9, PA-6, ... As long as the connector is the same and current is at least as high, you're good to go. You can tell that I've helped a lot of people with thier Dells' AC adapters, heh.

1 - I'll agree on the cost more thing.
2 - It depends on how you read it. If you see it as a way of saying "outdated fast" then it can be an opinion depending on the poster's perspective of time.
3 - It can also be read as an exaggeration of "few games" which can be a opinion depending on what he considers a lot.

I have a lot of disc based games that I would like to play, and none of them are mac supportive as far as I can tell.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys, of course I won't be making the purchase for another couple weeks, but I needed to have my options on the table

That's not what was said. What was being done was a comparison between two products, so for that situation a static frame of reference does exist.

3 - It can also be read as an exaggeration of "few games" which can be a opinion depending on what he considers a lot.
"Comparatively few games" is fine because it's a factual truth.
"No games I like" are fine, it's a statement about opinion.

"No games" is not fine because it's stating it as a fact when it's bullshit.
