CRISPR can modify the DNA in any type of cell, so it could be used both to treat genetic disorders by modifying your body's cells and prevent them from passing on to the next generation by modifying your sperm/egg cells. It could also be used to pass on immunity to thinks like measles and the flu, so vaccines would become unnecessary.
