Hi guys, finally after a long saving spree, i was able to buy a new Black wii.

so now comes the real hard part for me, i want to hack it, but i want to do it safely.

so, my question to you pro's out there, what would be the best and safest way to hack my wii??

and by safest i mean, protection against bricks etc.

dont think about money restrictions etc, ill get the money if needed, just want the best way to do it [IMG]

    any suggestions are welcome.

I would recommend the complete softmod guide because that is what I used to hack my wii and I think the only brick protection you can get is bootmii ios and priiloader. never heard of hardware brick protection

well, i have read about the Wode, that bypasses the wii completely, so in theory, should protect it against bricks?

i dunno, thats why i ask [IMG]

The guides on this site have been used time and again, and I'm pretty sure that any bricks have been caused by people not doing what they were supposed to or being inventive instead of just doing what they ought to be doing. You shouldn't have any difficulty with the recommended stuff.

Honestly, you don't need to be spending much if any money to hack it man.

If you don't have one, get an SD card, 2gb minimum.

If you want to do a quick guide, and don't really care about the knowledge of what you are doing, use the guide at the top of the forum,

    THIS ONE

If you want more knowledge of what you're doing, then use the completesoftmod guide,

    FOUND HERE

If you follow either of those guides, you will have a nicely modded wii, chances are a backed up NAND, and all the stuff you need. As long you don't skip steps, and follow either guide STEP BY STEP you should not brick your console. Both guides work fine, it really comes down on what guide you can follow better and what knowledge you want.

    hmm... and what about sneek?

would that offer protection against a brick on my "real" machine?

been reading and reading those guides, and to be honest, im a bit scared xd

Dude, if you brick your console using EITHER of those guides, you got severe issues, and i'm sure you have the potential to somehow give your hometown a power outage just by changing a lightbulb.

You shouldn't be worried about a brick, follow one of them step by step, and you will be fine.

Don't worry so much, just make you follow each step, step by step, don't feel the need to rush, take your time man.

And if gbatemp crashes, we know who did it, somehow....lol
