Hacking What will the next DS revision be like?

They will drop GBA port and reduce the thickness and a bit smaller. Kind of like a Motorola Razr. Maybe adding the Mp3 thing inside with a 512 memory inside. No rumble but better Wifi.

Next DS revision? Art thou mad!? Nay, I sayeth to thee! There shalt not be a 3rd revision. Anyone within their right mind would know by now that gaming hardware companies, including Nintendo, only release one (or less) major revision per system. The only thing left in the DS's future is the end of it's lifespan. And the release of it's successor, whatever that may be.

It'd be hard to make the lite smaller, and please don't make it any brighter than the lite is! If they came out with a new DS I'd definatley not buy it!

the next DS will probably be the DS 2 or DS Advance or something, kind of like the gameboy color was the to the original gameboy, or the GBA to the GBC. A system that is backward compatible, but upgraded. You know, slightly advanced hardware, and maybe two touch screens instead of 1.

i don't think they would change it to 2 touchscreens and make new games for 2 touchscreens. that's just wasting money.

i'd like a DS that's bright enough to withstand direct sunlight!

Some Retro like ones would be nice.
SNES controller shaped/styled DS
Genesis controller styled DS

For the next upgrade, Id want something that folds up more and gives more customization options.
Like that DS mock up someone made that folded like a GBASP but had buttons that folded up to the sides.
Though there would be a problem with the buttons sticking out and getting pressed in your pocket.

Though a one screen mix of the DS would be interersting.
Put the two screens together for a full vertical feature.
Plus add that cool feelable button feature that no one ever wants to implement.
It just sounds cool to have a screen that pushs up on itself to make an ACTUAL button.
Maybe jsut a basic revision of something like that would be cool.
Its very doable these days too.
But rather expensive Id imagen.

The button layout is just good me thinks

Probably something with built in MP3, video and that. Maybe some kind of PDA/blueberry capabilities.

Or perhaps some kind of waffle device.
